Honey-and-Spice Cake House
1984

Moscow Art Center

A Spice-and-Honey-Cake House is a sample of the most delicious and healthiest architecture of which we know and dream since childhood. To build such a house take: 100 tons of wheat flour, 30 tons of sugar, salt and baring powder to taste, 8 buckets of cinnamon, 7 buckets of clove, 10 tons of bee honey, 5 buckets of saffron, a box-carload of eggs, 25 tons of water and 6 buckets of rum. Mix the ingredients, whip the mixture and bake at 500 Centigrade. If the dough rises higher than recommended take the furnace apart and continue baking the cake at a lower temperature. Five to six hours later brush the cake with melted butter, sour cream and yolk.
Floors, roof-beams, rafters and staircase with balusters should be made of bitter chocolate and sweets. Windows are of lollipop and candied fruit, and the doors – of chocolate waffles and cookies. Furniture is made of sweet or salty dough according to the architect's wish. The stuffing is made of cream, various kinds of jam, berries and fruit – whatever you prefer. Then everything is eaten up to the foundation and cooked again by another architect. Missing components should be bought in the neighboring bakery.
